Our world – Virtual Reality – Spiritual world
Our world – Virtual Reality – Spiritual world
Our world, the one we see, the one we are living in and through which our existence is paved, according to our sight and experiences, is the one we understand the most.
It looks like an awkward title for an article, but don’t judge a book by its cover; allow me to share my simple thoughts with you and then, you can judge whether the reading is worthy or not.
We are conceived, we are born, then we grow up and pave our lives trying to understand our world and adjusting ourselves to this world and everything in it. We learned since our childhood that we need to see things to understand them, we need to have facts before making judgments, we need to adjust to our surroundings and understand it, so we can live a better life and be useful members to our society.
Our hearts and souls are always craving for a better world, for a better version of us all. This is basic instinct, our nature to procure better things for our lives and build a better tomorrow.
As an expression of our inner and deepest desires, a new world has been emerging, where you can be anyone you like, you can do whatever you want, you can build your own world to your image “Virtual Reality”.
“Virtual reality (VR) is a simulated experience that can be similar to or completely different from the real world. Applications of virtual reality can include entertainment (i.e. gaming) and educational purposes (i.e. medical or military training). Other, distinct types of VR style technology include augmented reality and mixed reality.”
This is the general definition of the term Virtual Reality from Wikipedia. But what does it have to do with us and this article, you might be asking yourself? Well, let us continue our talk.
Virtual Reality as stated before come to existence as a reflection of our inner desires and thoughts. It is a simulation of the world we want to live in and can be used in a variety of environments’. Did you know that there are games where you can build your own world and invite others from any part of the world to partake in it?
People spend countless of hours creating their virtual world that it becomes a semi-reality to them. They get so used to it that sometimes they have a hard time in the real world (our world). This is something that becomes addictive and in this new era is becoming a lifestyle with people all over the world working on their virtual realities and virtual worlds.
Where did this world come from? It came from our very same world, from our inner desires and thoughts of a better world; but at the end, it is just a Virtual reality and nothing else. It cannot be real and it is not real, even when it is the reflection of something real. This Virtual World eventually comes to an end.
“For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.” Colossians 1:16
Now, let us start with my line of thoughts on this one. “Things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible…”
The Bible tell us that there are things in heaven, created things and invisible things; because we cannot see them. Correct? Therefore, there is a “Spiritual World” that we don’t see, but it does exist.
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18
Our nature is to fix our eyes on the things we can see, the things we can understand, the things we might be able to control, in the things of this world.
But Paul is telling us that we must fix our eyes in what is unseen, because what we see (this world) is temporary, but what we don’t see (Spiritual world) is eternal.
Wait a second! What is all this about? You might think to yourself…
Well, this is what I am explaining to you, there is a Spiritual World and the spiritual world is eternal, the one we don’t see. Nevertheless, do you know the funniest part of all this?
Allow me to enlighten you a little bit more.
“By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.” Hebrews 11:3
This is the tricky part and what you need to read very carefully… Virtual reality came to exist from this world, our inner desires and thoughts. We have established that already.
The very same way, our world, the one we believe as the real world came to exist from the spiritual world; it was formed from what is unseen, in other words, from the invisible, from the spiritual realms.
Oh My Lord!
God created our world from His inner desires and thoughts for us as humans (flesh and blood) could live peacefully and in harmony with Him. Because as not spiritual beings, we are not able to live and dwell in the spiritual realms with our earthly bodies.
As always, we messed it up and sinned; resulting the deterioration of God’s creation and ultimately the destruction of the very same world that was created for us. That is why, the world we are living in will come to an END, just as the virtual reality world comes to an end, our world will suffer the same fate.
We walk and live as if this world would last forever and we are wrong. The Bible tells us that this world will eventually come to an End.
What does it tell us? It tells us that the spiritual world is the real world and the one we need to try to understand the most, because that is where those who have accepted Christ will dwell forever.
God is spirit, isn’t He? So, we must be in spirit form to see Him and dwell with Him, that is the spiritual world.
“ For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Ephesians 6:12
Our struggles and battles are against spiritual forces in “heavenly realms”, this is where the real battle is, heavenly realms = spiritual world. We need to wake up and start paying attention to what really matters.
Our enemy the devil is fighting constantly against us and we allow him to win some of the battles, because we don’t want to recognize that it is not with guns and power from this world that we can win, it is only in prayer by the power of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our daily lives are a battlefield coming from the real world “spiritual realms”, don’t ignore it or pretend that it does not exist, it will not go away, on the contrary, things will get more difficult when you ignore this world and its battles.
You have to understand that the things we see come from the things we do not see “spiritual” and in every second of our lives, there is s spiritual battle going on, even when we are not aware of it.
Angels and demons, the power of evil against the power of good, this is a constant battle. This is battle happens for each one of us. The good news is that God is with us; therefore, we will be more than conquerors.
Our world and the virtual world will disappear, but the spiritual world will last forever; so, allow me to ask you this…
Should you put all your efforts on something that will not last or on something that will last forever?
Don’t get me wrong, I am not telling you to neglect your life and the world around you; I am simply telling you that there is more than what meets the eyes and you should be aware before it is too late.
“Lord, I come before you today, praying for you to open the eyes of the readers and show them the reality around them and how to battle in this spirit world. If they were not aware of it, now you are opening their eyes. I ask you to give them victory over the enemy, because in You, we have already won. In Jesus almighty name, I pray, Amen!”
